Talking Points:
Goals win games and that was the case in Dunganney on Sunday as Clonard hit Dunboyne for six in a first half onslaught in this U16 division 5 final. The goals scored by Clonard were of the highest quality top corner scores that left the goalkeeper with little chance. The half time chat was difficult but the girls were given the challenge to show everyone what they were made of and put in a performance that would do themselves justice. this is exactly what they did and put three great goals past clonard . Clonard were beginning to panic but managed to settle things with a few scores and ran out deserved winners in the end. The girls showed great character when a lot of others would have given up. Victory in finals cannot be too far away with the commitment shown in the second half. I don\'t know what the Apache for proud is but I know I felt very proud of these girls at the final whistle . Well done on another great season

ABOUT US

Established in 1902 by Bob O’Keeffe, the hurling section of the club has been in existence for more than 100 years. It wasn’t until the late 1940s that the game of Gaelic Football was properly organised within the club and in 1952 it became known as St. Peter’s GAA Club. Today both football and hurling, along with the camogie and ladies football sections, are thriving.
