Talking Points:
Dunboyne Ladies serve up a weekend of delights to take \'Plate\' home. Dunboyne opened their bid for glory with a flurry of scores that caught a solid team from Slane off guard. Hard work kept Dunboyne on top and they took their first win. Two from two followed after an other great display of teamwork and commitment over Colmcilles. Heading into the last match, Dunboyne ramped up there scoring prowess, never letting up, to emerge as unbeaten champions of Group A. And so to Dunganny and the semi final. Meeting Walterstown in the semi saw the team down at half time by a goal. But true to form the players rallied and through great defence from Sophia Barnes and Rachel Coleman and goalkeeper Kate Lynch plus tough forward play from Rachel Daly, Dunboyne played a superb second half with Katie Creahan pulling off a hat trick of goals. Dunboyne moved on to the final. With the prize in sight Dunboyne took to the field with intent. Wolf Tones, who had been beaten in the league just 3 days earlier by Dunboyne, bagged their few chances, while an unlucky roll of near misses from Aobh Rooney, Jessica Campbell and Rebecca Keogh left the game all level at half time. With renewed belief Dunboyne returned to the field with pressure, speed and agility. Our back line led by Colleen Byrne and Arwen O’Mahoney with support from a tenacious Ciara McCoy and sharp goalie Ailbhe Kennedy, kept the score to just 3 from the first half for Wolf Tones, while brilliant displays of determination from Aislinn Kelly to Rebecca Keogh and Sophia O’Reilly placed the ball on target, ensuring Dunboyne were the victors with a scoreline that flattered the opposition. This squad of players may just make it 3-in-row for the Parish come April next year! Final Score: Dunboyne 5-7 Wolf Tones 1-2 SQUAD 1. Kate Lynch, 2. Sophia Barnes, (1-1) 3. Alison McNulty (1-0), 4. ABOUT US

Established in 1902 by Bob O’Keeffe, the hurling section of the club has been in existence for more than 100 years. It wasn’t until the late 1940s that the game of Gaelic Football was properly organised within the club and in 1952 it became known as St. Peter’s GAA Club. Today both football and hurling, along with the camogie and ladies football sections, are thriving.
