Talking Points:
Dunboyne survived a second half fightback from St. Ultans to prevail by the narrowest of margins in an exciting Div 4 League match on the main Rooske pitch. Played in perfect conditions for football both teams were fully committed with Dunboyne\'s point scoring ability the crucial difference in the end. Dunboyne\'s defencive lineup all played well with standout performances from Alison O\'Sullivan in goal, Ruth Flood in the full back line and Niamh Farrell in the half-backs. Aisling Flynn provided a solid platform in the middle of the field while up front all the forwards were dangerous with a special mention given to Deimante Dapkute, Roisin O\'Doherty and point scoring sub Orla Fllanagan. Next up for the girls is League match v. Wolfe Tones next weekend.

ABOUT US

Established in 1902 by Bob O’Keeffe, the hurling section of the club has been in existence for more than 100 years. It wasn’t until the late 1940s that the game of Gaelic Football was properly organised within the club and in 1952 it became known as St. Peter’s GAA Club. Today both football and hurling, along with the camogie and ladies football sections, are thriving.
