Talking Points:
Dunboyne got their intermediate championship off to a winning start thanks to a spirited 2nd half display. Rataoth started the game very impressively and dominated the early exchanges, making good use of possession and the wind. They opened up a 1-5 to 0-2 lead after 20 mins. Their goals coming from a ball off the crossbar, collected and dispatched to the net. thankfully Dunboyne responded well and started to gain better possession, which resulted in a well taken goal from Fiona O\'Neill, followed by point from Aoife Thompson. At HT Ratoath led by 2 points. Dunboyne delivered a much more spirited performance in the 2nd half, with an excellent point from Vicki Wall, immediately after the restart setting the tone for the second half. A number of good scores from Shelly Melia, Aoife Thompson, Fiona O\'Neill and Niamh Williams, were capped with a goal from Vicki Wall which ensured a win for Dunboyne. Emma O\'Byrne, had a strong game in defence and up front Wall, Melia, Thompson & O\'Neill keep the scoreboard ticking over. Well done girls

ABOUT US

Established in 1902 by Bob O’Keeffe, the hurling section of the club has been in existence for more than 100 years. It wasn’t until the late 1940s that the game of Gaelic Football was properly organised within the club and in 1952 it became known as St. Peter’s GAA Club. Today both football and hurling, along with the camogie and ladies football sections, are thriving.
