Talking Points:
Dunboyne roared into action with 2 early goals in the first have leaving the oppostiion gasping for inspiration. The midfield pairing of Sophia O\'Reilly and Rachel Daly worked the pitch, keeping chances coming for their team mates. Hard work by all the girls kept them on top for the second half. Wolfe Tones, playing a very physical game, took charge 15 minutes into the second half as Dunboyne’s energy flagged, leaving just 2 points between the teams. However, dogged work by the right wingback, Rebecca Keogh, gained possession time after time, sending it up the pitch, where Dunboyne eventually took their chances and their scores. A 5 minute spell in the opposition\'s half, thanks to the running power of Colleen Byrne and sharp reflexes of Aobh Rooney and Sarah Kavanagh saw several chances scuppered by the goal posts. But the solid work had been achieved by full time. Hard work and commitment won the day.

ABOUT US

Established in 1902 by Bob O’Keeffe, the hurling section of the club has been in existence for more than 100 years. It wasn’t until the late 1940s that the game of Gaelic Football was properly organised within the club and in 1952 it became known as St. Peter’s GAA Club. Today both football and hurling, along with the camogie and ladies football sections, are thriving.
