Talking Points:
Our Junior D team got off to a winning start to the 2017 Championship with a well deserved 6 point win over Bective in Skryne. Sean Quigley kept Dunboyne in touch as the \" county man\" knocked over some great points from play in the first half, some of the Bective lads were heard saying, \"if they could teach that lad to solo he would be a fine footballer.\" After a good half time team talk from stand in management team of Neil Hackett,Sean Moran and Mr. Niall \"Junior B\" Smyth, the lads put in a great second half with goals from Conor Geoghan and Salmon Gilmartin. Fergal O Neill made a great start to footballing life with Dunboyne, with 2 great points, several long runs up the field and about 180 solos everytime he got the ball. Conor Ronaldinho made a great run up the field to score a great point and not to be outdone our other corner back Liam Kane launched an attack and finished with a great point after he somehow solo-ed the ball over the full backs head. Overall though it was a great performance and hopefully a sign of things to come for the clubs fourth adult team.

ABOUT US

Established in 1902 by Bob O’Keeffe, the hurling section of the club has been in existence for more than 100 years. It wasn’t until the late 1940s that the game of Gaelic Football was properly organised within the club and in 1952 it became known as St. Peter’s GAA Club. Today both football and hurling, along with the camogie and ladies football sections, are thriving.
