Talking Points:
St Pats brought a strong team to Dunboyne on a cold windy day. However our girls were ready. In the first half with the breeze on their back they came forward time and time again and should have been more than 8 points up. They hit the crossbar twice and the upright once. All midfield and forwards did their job. The second half was a different game. St Pats put on so much pressure and started to turn the scoreboard. Our goalkeeper and defence stood tall and some brilliant saves, blocks and clearances left 3 points between the teams when Tara popped over a free kick in the last minute to leave 4 points between the teams at the end. That’s 3 wins from 3 a great start but a lot more work to do.

ABOUT US

Established in 1902 by Bob O’Keeffe, the hurling section of the club has been in existence for more than 100 years. It wasn’t until the late 1940s that the game of Gaelic Football was properly organised within the club and in 1952 it became known as St. Peter’s GAA Club. Today both football and hurling, along with the camogie and ladies football sections, are thriving.
