Junior Hurling League Div 4 Rd 4.

St. Peters 2-9 - Killyon 1-15.

St. Peters hosted Killyon on Friday evening on the carpeted Rooske pitch for their 4th outing of their League campaign.

Killyon started the brighter and were 3 points up before Paul Graves landed a pointed free.

In fact it was Graves who scored all of the black and amber scores in the 1st half, 2 placed balls and 2 from play.

Killyon dominance in the 1st half was reflected with a 1- 10 to 0 - 4 lead at the break.

Dunboyne were a different team in the 2nd half, with Liam Callanan, Ger Murphy, Rory Callanan and Graves scoring from play.

A goal from Ciaran Mckay & a late Graves goal had Killyon fighting to hold on.

It took 2 great saves from the Killyon keeper to deny the black and amber. Killyon held on for a 3 point win, Dunboyne left rueing their slow start and their wide count over the course of the game. Special mention to Eoghan Pearl who was excellent at full back all through.
