There were plenty of nerves in the dressing room before throw-in, but the lads settled those nerves quickly, coming out fast and racing into a 1-2 lead without reply in the opening 10 minutes.

A very talented Navan side rallied, and a fiercely contested battle ensued for the remainder of the first half, with Dunboyne going into the break with a six-point lead.

One of the real positives for this group throughout the year has been their ability to produce strong second-half performances in both football and hurling, and yesterday was no different. The lads pushed on after the break and finished the job to secure a fantastic victory, followed by scenes of wild celebration at the final whistle! 🖤💛

The celebrations were temporarily put on hold, however, as the squad headed straight from the pitch to the church — still in their match gear — for their Confirmation Mass. They then reconvened in the clubhouse afterwards for some well-earned pizza!

A fantastic day all round and just reward for this hardworking and talented group of young men.

Well done, lads! 🖤💛🏆
