Run in Darkness and in light
How far can you go for Pieta?
#Run4Pieta – Run in Darkness & in Light in May in aid of Pieta Sunrise Appeal
The annual Darkness into Light event has sadly been postponed this year as a consequence of the COVID-19 outbreak.
That doesn’t mean that we can’t help!
On May 16 and 17, we’re asking our members to get involved with a fundraising event for Pieta House. Simply fill in the form below and click submit. You will be allocated a time to walk, jog or run for a period of one hour. Once completed, you’ll be able to log your time. We’ll add up all of the distances travelled, to see how far we, as a Club have travelled for Pieta.
How far will you travel for Pieta House?
When you’ve completed the form above, please direct your family, friends and colleagues to the St. Peter’s GAA Just Giving Page to get your fundraising effort really moving!
- We are sharing the campaign across all Social Media and Team Groups inviting YOU to get involved. Round up your immediate family! Ask friends, relations and neighours to sponsor you individually, or the Club as a collective. For example, a family of 4 could run for 30 mins, covering 5km x 4 = 20km, so the more running the more kms covered.
- Walk, jog or run for the duration of your allocated slot.
- Track your distance and report in.
- We will share the event and fundraising links across all of our Social Media and other messaging platforms.
Teams will travel consecutively for a period of 24 hours
The need for Pieta’s lifesaving services is greater than ever as COVID-19 impacts not only on the nation’s physical health but its mental health too. As people find themselves worried, anxious, under strain, financially impacted and in many cases isolated and alone. So Pieta is reaching out to the GAA Community. It’s a fantastic challenge that should be embraced and we’d love to have you involved, representing your Club while supporting a great cause to support mental health.
Thanks in Advance! #run4pieta
